Hey there! I’m Mrs. Rodenbeck and I am SO incredibly excited to meet you! I’m very excited for the upcoming school year and all of the amazing things that we will learn together.
I’ve spent the past few years teaching science and history at a high school in Chicago, Illinois. That makes me brand new to the state of Wisconsin. My husband and I lived in Chicago for the past 12 years, and the city is still a big part of our life. We are having a blast learning all about our new city of Madison, especially the cheese!
My husband and I have a sweet little pup named Watson and we love taking him on walks and trips to visit family. We are SERIOUS hockey fans, too! We are an avid hockey family and are super loyal to our beloved Chicago Blackhawks. We also love animals, so we spend a lot of time visiting different zoos. I also love to bake, so brownies, cookies, and cupcakes are certainly fun for me! I also love to do crafts and get lost on Pinterest.
I’ve been involved in the Chicago Field Museum for the past 10 years in various different roles. I’ve worked as an assistant to archaeologists and curators, worked with ancient human remains, and more. For the past few years, I’ve been working closely with the museum to bring the study of anthropology into middle schools and high schools. Before I was teaching at the high school level, I spent six years teaching doctors of chiropractic. I am also pretty passionate about health and wellness, especially chiropractic care and bone health.
I cannot wait to have a fantastic year, full of learning and love! Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
